We collect your name, email address, phone number, and address when you make a booking. We also collect your vehicle registration and technical details (make, model, year, engine size, oil specification) to provide the correct service. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your card details. We retain booking history and may collect device information through cookies.

We use your data to provide our services including booking management, dispatching mechanics, and ordering the correct parts for your vehicle. We communicate with you to send booking confirmations, service updates, and mechanic arrival times. We process payments, improve our service based on usage patterns, and comply with legal obligations such as HMRC record-keeping requirements.

We process your data on the following bases: contract performance (to fulfil your booking), legitimate interests (service improvement, fraud prevention), consent (marketing communications and non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax and financial records required by HMRC).

We share data with trusted third parties to deliver our service: Stripe for payment processing, Google Maps for address lookup and routing, HaynesPro for vehicle technical data, ECP / Euro Car Parts for parts ordering, Twilio for SMS and WhatsApp notifications, Resend for email, Sentry for error monitoring, and Vercel for hosting. Each processor handles data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Booking and financial records are retained for 7 years as required by HMRC. Account data is kept until you request deletion. Cookie durations are detailed in our Cookie Policy.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any right, contact privacy@yellowritual.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Some of our processors (including Stripe, Vercel, and Sentry) may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place such as Standard Contractual Clauses or reliance on UK adequacy decisions.

Our service is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Strictly necessary cookies (authentication, payment processing, consent storage) are always active. Non-essential cookies (Google Maps for address lookup, Sentry for error monitoring) are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner.
